L&N STEM Academy Celebrates Graduates

Congratulations to the first graduating class at Knoxville’s L&N STEM Academy, a TSIN platform school. With this years graduating class, the school has an impressive 100% graduation rate with 95% of students headed to four-year or two-year college, or the military. The West Tennessee STEM Hub sponsored the first annual STEM Challenge Summit on May 2, 2014 at the Memphis Zoo. Teams of students from five high schools and one middle school presented their plans for redesigning or renovating the zoo’s aging Herpetarium (Reptile House), which opened in 1960. Tennessee Code Camps Offered During School Breaks

In the next 10 years there will be over 1.4 million new programming jobs, making it one of the fastest growing occupations. Tennessee students can learn to code during school breaks at the Youth Code Camps.
